Welcome to my online gallery, which includes examples of my unique Fine Art Wood and Fine Art Gourd pieces. My artistic style is based on abstract organic forms that are sometimes integrated with natural objects like butterflies and fossils.  My finished pieces are often reminiscent of marine and tropical forms, as well as microscopic structures see in cells and tissues. I take my inspiration from the multitude of natural forms that comprise the ancient heritage of life on earth to create pieces that reflect our spiritual connections with nature.  All of my artwork is created by hand, employing the techniques of wood carving that use tools such as small rotary bits and burrs, files, rasps, chisels and gouges.  I never employ laser or computer-assisted (CNC) machinery.
 
My artwork falls into five categories: sculptural, gourd, wall sculpture, functional, and collaborative. My sculptural artwork, gourd artwork, and wall sculptures are fine art pieces, while my functional pieces feature my artistic style as applied to clocks, jewelry boxes, and books.  I enjoy creating pieces that are viewed not only as fine art, but also as pieces used day-to-day. The collaborative artwork is created in conjunction with other talented artists, fusing different artistic styles into unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
